Curioscity is an informal but informative science show for everyone. Learn alongside Calvin Yeager as we discuss topics including biology, chemistry, virology, technology, and general science in a lighthearted and digestible way.

Curioscity was first envisioned in late 2018, inspired by podcasts like TWiV, Big Picture Science, and If I Were You.

Calvin Yeager

Calvin Yeager

Calvin is a postdoctoral researcher in Craig E. Cameron’s lab at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has a fondness for science, education, and instrumentation of both scientific and musical origin. He grew up in northern California until going to college for a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York, in 2016. He began his doctoral studies at The Pennsylvania State University, but received his PhD in Microbiology & Immunology from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2022.

Our Network

Curioscity is a proud member of MicrobeTV, an independent podcast network for people who are interested in the life sciences. Our shows are about viruses, microbes, parasites, evolution, and even urban agriculture. MicrobeTV was founded in 2015 by Vincent Racaniello, a professor of Microbiology & Immunology at Columbia University. Curioscity debuted in 2019 on the MicrobeTV network.
